Dawn was born in Washington State, grew up in Spain and has been in Jacksonville for the past 30 years where she lives with her children and husband Kevin, a teacher, coach and mentor. Her strong faith, love of people and heart for the broken has led her on a transformative journey from the board room to the nonprofit sector, allowing her to serve others, fulfilling the true purpose for her life.
Operating for more than 18 years in the for-profit world as a Senior Vice President and a business corporate officer, Dawn has deep expertise in the financial services industry, bringing a wealth of experience leading multi-site international operations. Her gift for solving complex challenges with leading-edge solutions, providing strategic organizational direction and execution, coupled with dynamic executive leadership abilities allows her to provide New Dawn Outreach with sound management oversight. Dawn's strengths include relationship management, implementation of cost saving initiatives, strategic transformations through utilization of her Six Sigma background, driving efficiencies and process improvements.
Dawn has completed several Business Management courses at Harvard University and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Management. She is also an ordained minister.
Dawn is a former member of the board of directors for the Daily Manna Serving Center. She currently is a sitting member of the board of directors for the First Coast Dream Center.
Dawn’s desire is to bring change to the least served… her “Street Friends,” as is her affectionate name, for those without a home. “Helping Restore Hope to the Hurting” is more than just a tag line… it’s our lifestyle.
