Mickey was born in Key West, Florida, but he has resided, worked and ministered here in Jacksonville with his wife, Edye and family for most of his life. After graduating from the University of Florida, Mickey taught mathematics in Duval County Schools, Episcopal High School of Jacksonville and FSCJ. He has served in Church Ministry for more than 50 years, serving as Youth Director, Church board Leader, Senior Lay Director for Cursillo Renewal, Christian Education Coordinator, Small Group/Bible Study Leader, and Refugee Coordinator for Episcopal Diocese of Florida. In addition, he helped to initiate and then preach at the local Russian Messianic Jewish Ministry at both Beth Jacob and Beth Israel.  More recently, he has continued to minister to the homeless and the helpless; to the refugee or “stranger in our midst” through World Relief, and by mentoring disadvantaged, inner city youth with Communities in Schools Programs. Mickey believes in the power of Holy Spirit through prayer and deed, to transform lives for Christ.
